
Just wrote my first Excel macro. It's very simple, only 30 lines. But it shows great functionality. With two buttons linked with the little script, I can change the look of worksheet, Common View and Heatmap View.
Heatmap is very useful to visualize the priority levels of data records. Though one can always sort, it is still more convenient if color indicates the "heat". On the left is an example heatmap of
London Travel Time. You can get the results manually through
Conditional Formatting or
Filter.
